    My understanding is that by using AC21 portability (when I140 is approved and i485 is pending for > 180 days),
    one can work for current or any employer provided that new job is 'similar' (per DOL definition) to job listed in labor certification. In this case even if employer revokes 140 petition, 485 petition remains valid

    and

    One can used AC21 and continue to work for new employer on H1b (even if it is in 7th year extension stage) and doesn't have to use EAD,

    Is my understanding correct? if yes,

    1. Does one need to notify USCIS/ DOL after invoking AC21 ?
    2. If one leaves current company due to better job, life changing event or layoffs what does companies doe generally? Do they revoke 140 petition?


    What are other pros and cons of using AC21 ?

    Wondering what the impact will be for 140 processing with the revised bulletin. Mine EB-2 has been pending in TSC for the last 5 months. It's my understanding we cannot use the AC-21 provisions like switching jobs without approved 140.

    If 140 processing goes up to a year that would be really bad for new applicants. Atleast they should resume Premium processing. Any thoughts?

    I checked online in my bank and my uscis checks have passed for i-485,i-131,i-765. On the back of the checks, i found receipt numbers, I correctly took all receipt numbers and i entered them to my profile on uscis.gov website to track the processing, & !Surprise! i saw two receipt numbers referring to I-131and one to i-765 whereas none for i-485, Ideally, out of 3 receipt numbers, it should be one for each of i-485,i-131 & i-765??????? Don't know what to do? Has any one heard anything like that???????????????

    Some big compromises in the House version that dropped this morning. First, there will be $2525 in filing fees, $525 of which is due at the outset and $2000 of which is paid five years in to the ten year conditional non-immigrant period. That should presumably answer critics who complain that DREAM will add to the deficity. Also, conditional status is granted in two five year terms and the college education/military service requirements must be met in the first five year term in order to get the extension approved.     What should be filled for question 16 in I765 form.
    My lawyer asked me to fill C C 9, but the instruction says C 9. Which is correct.
