Just google Germany transit visa and AP. There are postings on immigration forums way back to 2006. It is not a new issue as some one mentioned.
It seems AP was not listed as valid document. But many people traveled with out any issues it seems with A.P.
Could anybody faced any issues at Frankfurt without Transit visa?
Please share your experience if you traveled these days through Frankfurt

I got 2 APs with Continuation of Previous ones! Lost 2 months in one AP when I applied 3 months advance :)
I do not have any plans and just wanted to have it to use when needed. So, I applied the latest one just a week before the previous one expires and approved in 2 weeks time @ TSC

do you really think that when a case worker actually sits down to adjudicate a case, reads the details, and if he is anti-immigration, is not going to slow down the process?
this is not a courtroom, where the "jury" is selected fairly.
anyone in any kind of job, unless he is screened is prone to human prejudices.
and due diligence on the part of USCIS can correct this, but if they are already overloaded do you think a manager there has the time to check on the progress of each case handled by each employee?
I know that in my own group, if someone does not like a particular client, they will slow down or even deliberately mess up work for them. they dont consider that this client is why they have a job, or that they should be morally upright.
so, in the case of an embittered worker whose son was laid off because of outsourcing, or general hatred and fear of immigrants "taking over his country", I seriously doubt he will reflect on ideological principles.
I wish you were right, but unfortunately believe you are wrong.

Imagine if there are many there, and worse if they are high up. It will never be made public because it would hurt USCIS even more.
So again, senators are good to approach, but let's reach out to those who are directly involved, DOL and USCIS officials.
I propose a large group of us scheduling a meeting directly with officials at these agencies.

I also saw more conspiracy theories that USCIS might be hiding the visa numbers and allocating less numbers to India or China because of prejudice. I dont think that happens, but I dont have proof to say it doesnt happen, and the conspiracy believers dont have proof that it does happen. So again, a matter of opinion.

Thanks for all the analysis of the Frist's and Specter's Bill. For some people including me who is not all that familiar with all the immigration terms as others in this forum are, can someone tell me if Frist and Specters bill enforce hard country limits? or remaining visas from a perticular category E.g. Eb2 or Eb3 will be used for people without applying the per country cap?

Now that we are out retrogression lets focus on solving the the Name check black hole. According to 2007 Ombudsman report there are over 30,000 cases whose name check has been pending for more than 3 years.

Can you confirm that when you travlled to India (i guess via FRK) were you required to show your ATV. I assume that your visa was expired already in your passport.

If this is the kind of diplomacy we are going to show in DC then we are doing more damage than good to the EB community. Your pompous cheer-leading act ain't gonna work with them DC diplomats. So I sure hope the IV leadership makes sure of your absence among important meetings.
