How will removing country limits help China, India and ROW.
Has someone done any calculations on visa date movement.
We should have some comparison on this because some of us from China against. I seen many ROW against.
Does it help only Indians or everyone by how much?
I see these calculations bringing Indians, Chinese and ROW together.
the truth is this.... some of the chinese are against removal of country limits becoz they do not care if it helps them..... they r simply opposed to removal of per country limits becoz they cannot see india getting any benefit..... its the age old chinese mindset which cannot be changed with numbers or calculations...... otherwise just think for u'rself...... if china is retrogressed as evident from monthly visa bulletin .... & removal of per country limits will create 1 queue for everyone..... then y would some of these chinese be opposed to the removal of per country limits.....

Hi
I came to the US on H4 and then applied for H1-B. My H4 visa expired. My H1-B was approved but I was not staffed and hence not paid for the past one year and as a result I do not have pay stubs. I do not have the H1-B stamping on my passport. Now I want to apply for H4 from my home country based on my husband's H1-B.
My question is when I fill in the DS156 form what should I fill in for the following parts
1. #20 and #21 - Name and address of you current employer and Present Occupation
(Would I have to give details about the employer who filed my H1-B even though I do not have H1-B stamp on my passport)
2. #30 Have you ever been issued a US Visa - Yes/No (I do not have the H1-B stamp, I only have the previous H4 stamp)
When , Where, What Type of Visa (Would I have to mention about my H1 or H4?)
Please can anyone help me with these questions

H1-B Extension after 6 years.
Is it mandatory that I have to work at the employer who is processing my GC to get the extension on H1-B beyond 6 years?
I have changed my employment after I-140 approved. But the previous employer agreed to continue the GC process. I could not file 485 due to PD is not current.
The 6 yrs limit on H1 is about to be over.
Is it possible to extend H1-B after 6 yrs at the new employer, based on the I-140 approved by previous employer as green card is process? Or is it mandatory that I have to work at the employer who is processing my GC to get the extension on H1-B beyond 6 years?

Yes you can go to school part time on H1 for MBA. Some states allow you to claim in state tuition on H1 for state schools - that will significantly reduce the tuition bill. In addition Federal govt allows either a deduction of $4k / yr or a credit of up to $2 k / yr (search for tuition tax deduction and Lifetime Learning credits).

I sent my documents for I485 on May 4th. Fedex web site shows that the documents were received by the service center on May 5th. But so far, my checks were not deposited or I haven't received the official receipt. How long does it take usually for USCIS to deposit checks? If I don't get the receipts for another week, what do I do?

I shot this with my old dig camera - a Sony F707
The colour is pretty much unaltered. I cleaned up a few stray reflections in the water and tried to lighten the eyes of the loons a bit. I would be intested in any criticism at all.

Would greatly appreciate your response for following quick inquires;
Q.#11 Dates ... is this the date I signed the I-765 application, or lawyer signed, or the date we mailed or the date USCIS recieved the application?:confused:
Q. #15 Current Immigration Status ... I researched on this forum and concur with those who say AOS.:)
Q.#16 Eligibility under 8 CFR 274a.12 ... Selected (c)(9)(). I filed during July-07 under EB2 category. Also this is what was mentioned on my original I-765 application that had been approved last year.:rolleyes:

I will be travelling outside US using AP by end of this month. I don not have valid stamped visa. Recently small part of my old company (A)got acquired by new company and my job was moved to new company (B)

Your scenario is you will be reentering on AP , but switching the job to a new employer. You may lose your H1 status

In my employer company (NJ based, desi consulting company) about 50% of the EB-2 PERM applications are under audit.
I need to file my application for EB-2 and I called them. (I have a EB-3 approved labor, on which my employer has filed I-140)
The paralegal advised me that they have stopped filing PERM applications since this month March 2008, hoping that there would be change of PERM processing or application change.
Does any one have any info about PERM change process? Please advise. Thanks in advance.
The DOL was supposed to issue new forms, since the current ones were said to expire in 3/2008. However, they have not issued new forms yet, and on their website it states that the current ones continue to be valid. Their site was down for maintenance around the end of March, however, so perhaps that's what the paralegal was referring to?

Thanks for the reply. What I understand even there is no position for EB2 currently, EB2 can be filed for future employment.
Do you know anybody who was in the same situation and converted from EB3 to EB2.
