Dear All,

I just have one thing to say to you all. You did bring attention and top newspapers covered our plight. I am seeing newspaper articles from NYT, Business week, BBC and Washington post.

Remember everybody, It takes mighty work to shake this, and we did that mighty work and I think you shouldn't be overcritical and wait for the fruits of labor to bloom.

We will do it one day........ we shall overcome one day... :-)

Just keep this passion going, if steam fizzles out, everything will flatten out and we will have to be on this all over again, so never let that happen.

From the Houston Chronicle: More Texas voters think unauthorized immigrants should be allowed to stay in the United States � through either a path to citizenship or work visas � than favor deporting them, according to a new Houston Chronicle/San Antonio Express-News poll. The poll showed that 38 percent of respondents favoring deportation � drawing the most support of the three options offered. Twenty-nine percent favored a way for unauthorized immigrants to attain citizenship, while 23 percent supported work visas.

OPT Start Date: Jan 2009
OPT End Date: May 2011

Comp A (A Consulting Firm)applied for H1-B in April 2009 thru consular Processing and got approved. I worked for Client X in the month of April but lost my job in a week itself.(thus I dont have any pay Stubs from Comp A)Since Comp A was not able to find me a job. I found A full time job in Comp B in June 2009 , I somehow convinced Comp B to hire me as a contractor as I already have my H1-B approved thru Comp A. Thus from july 2010 I started working for Comp A again as my employer and Comp B as its Client. I am planning to go for VISA stamping in Dec 2010. My Question is

1) If they Ask for my Tax Returns and W2 for 2009 what should I answer as I just have my W2 frm Comp B

2) would there be a question of something like why havent I've been working for Comp A Since my H1 approval.

Please advice. I appreciate any kind of answer

Hello Folks,

I received a code 2 notice for I765 but i dont have my passport as it was sent to renewal. Eventhough FP Notice says ID card should be one of Alien Card / Drivers license , passport, State issued card my experience earlier says ASC only accepts Passport. Will they accept EAD Card etc as ID ? Any experience different than this ? Please post.

Btw this is my third time i am renewing for EAD.

Please advice.

Recently my company lawyers told me that they summit my LC application using PERM.
What is the estimated time to get the Labor Certification?

Any idea of the GC process time in PR (I think that processing center is Vermont) ?

Let the EAD expire, it makes more sense to use H1B when you enter the country. EAD and Advance Parole should be avoided and be used only as a last resort in extreme cases beacuse of the way immigration rules are carved.

While there are some politicians genuinely concerned about the subject of immigration who are backing anti-immigration laws because they believe in the cause, there are many more who have jumped on the anti-immigration bandwagon to score political points (John McCain - I'm talking to you). I wonder if politicians in small towns that don't have a lot of fat in their budgets are going to re-evaluate the costs and benefits when they have to explain to constituents why they have to pay hefty fees to plaintiffs in lawsuits like this one in a small town in Nebraska. I have the following situation.
I got married in June 2009 and my wife had a Business visa and she had travelled once. After our marriage, she travelled on her Business visa again in July for three months till October end 2009.
I have a H1 valid till June mid 2010 and when I tried to process her H4, many people said that, since the duration left in my visa is very less, chances of rejection are higher.
On her Visa, it is written as B1 / B2.

So it would be helpful for me to know, if she can travel on her business visa as a visitor [her visa has B1 / B2]. If she has to travel, does she need a letter from her company or do I have to provide the documents whereby I show that, I can take care of her in US.

If there is any other way, please let me know.

My Receipt date for 485 is july 27th 2007 and nebraska is processing applications for this date.

I applied for cross chargeability on 10th March.. Any idea how long before my case is approved? My lawyer has confirmed that its possible and he claims that it should take 4-8 weeks. I wanted to check to see what the experience of people has been so far?
