H1 doesnt work as you are interpreting. OP was working for 'A' and had a valid H1. At some point of time, he got a job offer from X and had his H1 transferred to X. Even though his new H1 is approved, his old H1 is still valid. It is valid as long as OP doesnt join X. Since the OP never left A and never joined X, he was always in status. OP -> this should be a simple case. Since you have documentation to prove that you were in status always and since you never joined X , you dont have paystubs and that should be perfectly fine as long as you never left A.

Canada does not have 50 universities, in TOTAL. So your choice is limited to
(1) Queens University in Kingston, Ont.
(2) University of Toronto
(3) UBC

Besides many universities in Toronto area (McMaster, Toronto, Waterloo, York, Ryerson) other Provinces such as Alberta, Saskatchwan, Manitoba, Quebec, New Brunswick, New Foundland, etc. all have good universities. If you are a PR, tuition is very low compared to the US. If you are outstanding in your field, you can hope for a grant too.

The problem here is not 5000 dollars. The problem here is that the situation is hopeless because they dont assign country of chargeability to pending 485 cases up until they are ready to approve them, if I read it correctly. The data that is not captured is the data that cannot be queried, simple as that.

On a serious note though, You provided so many ways that money is being raised by running marathons, funding drives etc etc...but come on, where on this website or anywhere else is it mentioned how this money is being spent??

But when i am told that I dont have access to this thread or that thread because I am not a donor...I do have the right to question if this organization actually represents all immigrants or just the donors?? If the motto of IV becomes "Change for fairness and justice (For Donors Only)" then it would make a lot more sense to me. But as long as IV keeps on harping that they represent the plight of legal immigrants (which I am) then I do have the right to ask the question ..."What exactly has IV done?"

They will definitely accept the copies of the check. The reason I applied my I-140 in May 07 and didn't got any receipt and I intend to file PPS for which I require copy of I-140 but when I talked to the customer service they suggested me this solution and after that I got my check photocopies from my employer

When there is a necessity and I am forced to learn. Other native speakers neither going to care why I learned the language nor force me to speak that particular language as already I am speaking. So where the attitude comes in the picture.

In EAD form, Q.11 Which USCIS center and Date(s).
What date we have to write? I am trying to fill up the pdf electronically. So it is allowing me to write only one date. So it should be the start date of previous EAD or end date? or range of date like 07/11/2008 - 07/12/2009

I have applied AP two times so far. I have always got my AP started date is same as expired date of previous one so in a nut shell, I dint loose a single day. I have always sent a cover letter explaining the different dates so that might have been the key.

How long is your current H1 valid? As far as i know, You can get your H1 extended with the new company till the present H1 date provided the pending LC is not revoked. Normally most companies do not specifically cancel the LC..so you should be fine.
As soon as you join the new company, apply for Perm.
This was discussed at length at immigrationportal.com website. There is a seperate thread for guys in H1 7th year extension. check it out.

Is fragomen filing EAD & AP on time?
I have been following up with them to file my EAD renewal since 10 days and today I received a response that they are busy with audit and will do as soon as they can, I don't want my ead application to be delayed, its already more than a week I was eligible to file EAD renewal.
Anyone else having problem or I am the only one?

the only and correct question about this whole thing is,
Can & will CIS legally take back the GC (even if its their mistake), in future, when they find out?
The answer sadly is,
Yes, they can, they will, as they already did in a few instances, as reported in these forums.
Not contacting CIS to correct the mistake, with a hope of 'they won't notice' and a logic of 'well, it's their mistake and i have to plead ignorance' is like the idiom, hiding your head in the sand, the Ostrich Effect.

Yes, USCIS IS capable of processing quickly (for example, my own case - but I'd say I was very VERY lucky, rather than an indication of system wide improvements). Remember, my GC was approved whilst my PD was not current, and I am still baffled why this happened. Having talked to many people about it, there is a strong suspicion of "squeaky wheel" helping.
Neah, there were too many approved to be all squeaky wheels. I think I know what they did. On July 1st they ran a simple query and picked up every application that has had no outstanding RFEs and had cleared namecheck, and then assigned them a visa number. If your receipt is from June, you may have cleared namecheck by July 1st, so you got the number. The rest (fingerprint check and approval itself) is just technicality.
I am on the opposite spectrum of the processing - been pending since early 2006 in EB2 ROW. My namecheck cleared late August - guess what, I am still waiting, perhaps until new numbers become available in October (even though I am current). Even though I have been waiting longer, they really finished working on my petition in June of 2006, so everything on the CIS side, including an RFE was done in 4 months. So, I really do not think your case is an exception. Most current approvable petitions that are not stuck in namecheck are approved in 3-4 months. So, in my opinion, quotas are the main culpit. Namecheck is easier to tackle because it gets a lot of bad publicity from delayed naturalization cases.
