My wife and I got married here in the Phil.He wants to file for an immigrant visa.We've been searching on the internet for some info but unfortunately we have some problem with some sites coz we cant get access to it.I also want to know how long it'll take to process an immigrant visa and the fees.

I had my I-485 interview at Boston-CIS in May,2007 and since then they were telling me lots of BS like NC, One security check open, additional review. Finally they sent me a letter telling me I need to attend NSEER interview at ICE office in Boston and I did that this week and the nice ICE officer told me that he was sending my file back to NSC. Last time I saw that thick file was when I was interviewed by IO at Boston-CIS!. Does it mean NSC will approve it now? I'm EB2 ROW and I was never finger printed more than once. So far had 2 EAD/AP and I applied in 2006 August

Hi Experts,
Would appreciate your help here. My sister is studying on H4 visa and her husband applied for I-140 in EB1 but it got rejected and now they have filed appeal for the same. He has his I-140 approved for NIW already though. Currently, My sister wants to move from H4 to F1 Visa as NIW case will take a lot of time and EB1 case has less chance of getting approved. Is there any problem in doing so ? Will having approved I-140 for NIW or pending appeal case affect her F1 application ?

Hi ,

The early retirement of US Senator Mel Martinez (R-FL) has opened up an appointment opportunity for Governor Charlie Crist, himself a candidate for Martinez's seat. Crist will likely not appoint himself and a number of names are circulating for potential replacements. Hi,
My husband and I work for a large MNC. We have our own L1's. Currently my husband's L1A is under processing. There is a RFE on it.
I want to know if we can change the status for him from L1 to L2 or to H1 without he having to leave the country?
If so what is the process to do it?
Can I apply for his L2 while his L1A is under processing?

You need to get a copy of 140, so you may have to tell your employer about your AC21 (actually no need if you have a copy of approved 140). Nothing to get scared of. But its good to leave in good terms.
Once you start using EAD your H1 will get cancelled anyway. So it wont make any difference if your old employer cancels it.

Thanks to IV for making the multi year EAD/AP happen. Since USCIS might or might not announce this, I want to track when people start getting these multi year EAD/APs. Anyone in the IV community got one of these yet?

My attorney sent the EAD application to Nebraska SC.
Earlier my 485/EAD/AP were all sent to Texas Center.
Does anyone know if this is fine .. sending the renewal papers to Nebraska?

My H1 stamping has expired. I have traveled using AP before. Just wanted to know if anyone traveled back with AP via Brussels?
Email I received from Belgium consulate just says "Indian nationals do not need transit visa". I am sure it means they do not bother about H1/AP as long as you have legal entry for the destination. Just wanted to re-check.

I'm new to this forum, but this is a great source of information.
Here is my situation. My wife is a US citizen and we've been married for 2 year and 3 months, and I have the conditional green card for almost 2 years. I can't say this has been the best time of my life. She has kids of her own, and we ran into so much problem. And we both wish get a divorce. My conditional green card is expiring, and I know a divorce would affect my status. But seems like I can't take this anymore. During this time, I've been with another us citizen. She understand my situation, and has always supported me. I do want to marry her after my divorce. So, I'm seeking for some advice from everybody on what I should do in this situation. Thank you
