For your first query: Write a letter stating why you would need AP.. You can write something like you would want to visit your family (for marriages, medical emergencies, other reasons and as well to be with family members for vacation etc).. anything you think is a reason can go here..
for the second query: You can send the PP photos along with your supporting documents. It should expedite the process as well as first time AP needs PP photo sent..

I think my case is heights of all the Fragomen mistakes.My company approved budget for my case in April 2006.Fragomen started the process right off because they need the initial pay.Now after they did that they informed me that,I should not contact them for what so ever reason because it is aganist the law.Agreed.So I did not contact them for more than 10 months assuming everything is going on fine.Then in May(yep one month before all dates were current), I called to find out whether they filed my case.I was told they found an issue with my add and experience 10months (ago)and they forgot to inform my company or me.Because of them I was not able to file my 485 last year.This august its been 10years in US for me.From then I would tell anyone who talks to me,go with Fragomen you are screwed ,unless your case gets assigned to a desi guy in Fragomen you are screwed with Fragoment from start(its just my observation).

In other words, should a person's application to renew his/her AP document be made prior to the termination of the current one, OR, could this application for renewal be made after the current AP document's validity expires (in this case after July 16, 2009)? USCIS accepts AP renewal applications 120 days in advance of expiring AP. The normal processing time for AP is approx 1-2 months (usually it is about a month). Keep in mind that the new AP which is issued will have an immediate effective date from the date of issue and the start date will not be from the expiry date of old AP. So in most cases you will end up losing some days or even months. If you do not forsee any immediate need to travel you should wait till 30-40 days prior to old AP expiry and then apply. If your travel plans are unknown and you may have to travel if an urgent situation arises, then you should apply 120-90 days in advance to make sure you have AP validity at all times. You will obviously lose some days or months... but then who says everything that USCIS does is fair :)

All are politics. Some time back we heard that no other bills could be introduced until the CIR dies. This was told like it was fixed in stone. But now some congressmen introduces the SKIL bill. Ask these questions?
Does CIR needs to die to another similar bill get introduced?

Look, i sympathize with you but you SHOULD HAVE poured in some money to start a parallel PERM application ..... PERM started from APR 2005 - you got almost 2 years +
My case is also like you but my Labor was 2 years old and applied just
before PERM and it went straightway to Phily Backlog center ... I thought
of applying for a Parallel PERM but mine was a RIR ( quicker) and Phily was saying that they would clear all Backog by SEP 2007 ( another 2 months)

To the major headache we will be facing. Economy.

It is not not primarily based on salary only, I believe, it has more to do with the nature of your job, job title, size of the company, type of company, for profit or non-profit.
My wife is a University professor, applied for our GC, EB2 India PD date august2007. We got our labor approved in a less that 2 months, we got our I40 cleared in 5 months, ( applied in January 08 got approved in June).
I believe , we are able to move so fast in this process was mainly because the type of company she works for, in this case the non profit institution.
Now at this point in time, I would like to ask all the gurus, are the dates going to move fast in next few months?

The American Academy of Nursing is NOT in poor light. Did you read their prescription for the nurses staffing and issues related to it?
With comments like these, we are digging our own grave. The issue is retrogression and not hopital and health care economics. I pay USD 14000 for a family of four and by god's grace, never been to one.
I know may of these nurses who are being exploited by the bodyshops like HLG. They pay a meagre salary to nurses and exploit them on signed contract. Please, please.. use your brains minus emotion.

2) deliberatly crafted the residecy rules to make it very hard for foreign doctors to get licensed in US.
3) AMA has a kind of alliance with another very powerful lobby
(pharma Lobby)
AMA (doctors) in turn says that imported drugs from canada are unsafe.
In turn pharma lobby backs the AMA lobby interests.
So what can IV work realistically:
Work against any increase of H1B or try to reduce it.
Work against EB visa grap by Schedule A

on fire then only you will be heard.

This is great... I don't think we could have asked for anything more. numbers USA is already harping about it. But no guest worker thing makes it much less controversial.
However I think our biggest challenge is in the house. So we will have to lobby hard to the house members who are going to be in the conference.
This bill has some very good things for graduate students. And they are the most organized ones. So we can team up with student associations to mount a big grass roots campaign.

Based on the reply to this FOIA from Needhelp!, it seems that we have a bigger problem than transparency.
They have said that country of chargeability is not assigned until case is ready for approval. However, whether or not a case is ready for approval is determined by country of chargeability. If you have 500,000 pending cases and dont know how many cases for each country of chargeability, then the only way to respond to a visa bulletin is to go thru all 500,000 cases every month, take a peek in it, look at the PD, look at the country and see if it is up for approval. I dont think they are doing that.
Also, if priority date is something that is different for different countries, then cases for those countries have to be sorted by priority date in different silos, so that when the next bulletin comes, you know how many cases are eligible that month and which ones are the earliest cases (from PD perspective) for each country.
I think we need to build case with proper arguments and present in front of Ombudsman.
